This is me with my chemo port. There's a black fannypack around my waist (out of the picture) that holds the small brick sized electronic pump.
I keep this on for 48 hours.
My regimen is on every other Wednesday I go in for 5 1/2 hours of chemo. Then get hooked up with this thing for the aptly named 5 FU chemo drug. Go back Friday afternoon and get it taken out.
Then I'm free for 12 days! Today I'm on day 2!
And it's football Saturday!
It really looks worse than it is. Not that I ever had any, but it has removed all notions I've ever had on the glamour and sexiness of a nipple ring.

I had to postpone my chemo session yesterday because my white blood count was too low. I got a shot that's supposed to fix that. One yesterday, one today and one tomorrow. It stimulates your bone marrow to make it work harder making new cells.
It feels like my bones are growing.
If you've ever seen one of those movies where someone turns into a werewolf, that's sort of what it feels like right now. This crap hurts.
But I'm feeling well otherwise. Back to the chemo next Wednesday.
